HONOR: Gold Sponsorship at Africa Tech Festival

HONOR, a global leader in smartphone and AI-driven technologies, proudly announces its participation as a Gold Sponsor at the Africa Tech Festival 2024. This is HONOR’s first involvement in the premier event, which has long been the focal point for innovation across Africa’s telecom and tech sectors.

The Africa Tech Festival, celebrating its 27th year, will unite more than 15,000 attendees, over 400 speakers, and 300 exhibitors from across the continent and beyond. It serves as a hub for tech-driven dialogue, industry collaborations, and enterprise-level solutions to reshape Africa’s future.

During the festival, HONOR will showcase its most innovative technologies, including its foldable smartphones, the HONOR Magic Series, and AI-driven products aimed at making digital solutions more accessible. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience these next-gen technologies firsthand and explore how they have the potential to shape Africa’s digital transformation.

“We are excited to make our debut as a Gold Sponsor at Africa Tech Festival,” said Fred Zhou, General Manager of HONOR Technologies Africa. “Africa is a growing and vibrant market, and our participation in this festival allows us to connect with industry leaders and explore how we can further drive digital inclusion and innovation across the continent.”

As part of its showcase, HONOR will also host a fireside chat on 12 November from 15h15-15h45pm at the AfricaCom: Telcos of Tomorrow featuring key industry partners Google and Cell C. The discussion, titled “The Future of the Smartphone Industry,” will delve into how AI and foldable smartphones are set to revolutionize the African market and improve people’s lives. Experts from HONOR, Google, and Cell C will explore ways to sustain the rapid smartphone growth in Africa through multi-stakeholder collaboration and the role these technologies will play in boosting digital inclusion and connectivity across the continent.

HONOR’s participation comes as part of its commitment to the local economy, with over R400 million invested in South Africa to date, supporting initiatives like the Youth Employment Service (YES) Program and Code with HONOR. The brand’s focus on empowering youth and fostering technological skills further strengthens its role in South Africa’s tech landscape.

Visitors can engage with HONOR at its exhibition booth, exploring the latest smartphones, wearables, tablets, and laptops. With a special focus on AI integration and foldable technology, HONOR is poised to lead the way in Africa’s tech evolution.

The Africa Tech Festival runs from 12-14 November 2024, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), offering transformative discussions on digital strategy and the future of African tech.
