A classic breakfast in bed with a healthy twist

Ingredients
1 cup plain flour
1 heaped teaspoon of baking powder
1 tablespoon of sugar
A pinch of salt
200ml milk
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 egg
Method
- Add all of your dry ingredients into a large bowl and mix together with a spoon or fork.
- Crack your egg into the bowl, add the canola oil and mix the ingredients in. Start adding in your milk slowly and continuously mix all ingredients while pouring. Aim for your batter to have the consistency of a thick pouring cream.
- Heat up your frying pan and add a dash of oil to evenly coat the pan.
- Using a tablespoon, drop your batter into the pan and aim to cook batches of three flapjacks at a time.
- When you start to see bubbles on the surface of your flapjacks, turn them over and cook for a few minutes until the bottoms are golden. Remove them from the plan and onto your serving plate and enjoy!
