Bolt Honours Drivers with communal Iftar Dinner

Johannesburg, 12 April 2024 – This week, Bolt hosted Iftar dinners across South Africa, bringing Muslim driver-partners together to break their fast at the Hyatt Regency Cape Town and Jack’s Grill Co in Durban.

The Iftar dinner allowed Muslim driver-partners observing Ramadan the opportunity to gather to break their fast together, as well as provide a safe space for mutual dialogue and engagement.

The ride-hailing giant expressed gratitude to hardworking Bolt driver-partners who were still stepping on the pedal throughout Ramadan.

Sandra Suzanne Buyole, PR Manager, Africa at Bolt, said: “As a company committed to fostering inclusivity and unity, Bolt is honoured to host Iftar dinners, bringing together our Muslim driver partners to break their fast and celebrate the spirit of community. These gatherings exemplify our dedication to supporting diversity and creating meaningful connections within our platform.”

This Iftar dinner epitomises Bolt’s steadfast commitment to fostering meaningful engagement with its driver community and strengthening the bond between drivers and the Bolt platform. As a company deeply rooted in values of appreciation and inclusivity, Bolt remains dedicated to creating memorable experiences and nurturing a sense of belonging among its esteemed drivers.
