Telkom set to transform Comic Con Africa 2024 into an unparalleled gaming destination at the JHB Expo Centre over the weekend of 26-29 September. “The Home of Gaming,” a hub designed to elevate your gaming experience with a range of immersive attractions and interactive opportunities was brought back.
At the heart of the VS Gaming World, attendees immersed themselves in a variety of engaging activities. Experiencing mobile gaming with Telkom Plus and OPPO, featuring the latest in gaming technology where you could play popular titles and explore new games in a dynamic, tech-rich environment. Attendees felt the thrill of high-speed competition at the VS Gaming Tournaments Stage, where top professional players battled it out in intense gaming challenges, providing a high-adrenaline spectacle for all.
Telkom’s Free-to-Play Areas showcased popular games like FC24, giving visitors the chance to test their skills and enjoy gaming at no cost. The excitement continued with the Masters, Championship, and High School Esports League (HSEL) Finals. In the HSEL Rocket League Finals, HS Waterkloof, last season’s 1st place, and HS Oos-Moot, last season’s 2nd place, were back in contention. Similarly, in the HSEL Counter-Strike Finals, HS Waterkloof (S6 1st place) and Parklands College (S6 2nd place) returned for another shot at glory. In the Masters Finals, Nixuh, last year’s 2nd place team, strived to claim the Season 9 Masters Title.
This year, Telkom was thrilled to introduce the Next Gen Squad, a trio of dynamic characters designed to captivate and showcase cutting-edge offerings. Meet:
