Zunaid Moti backs singer’s musical dreams

Revered billionaire entrepreneur and investor Zunaid Moti’s business intervention programme, MotiMoves, ventured into the music space this month by investing in the career of a promising young music artist, Sam Dube.

Moti generally announces the winners of his MotiMoves investment programme during his free online business webinar, usually held on either the first or final Thursday of every month, with the next scheduled to take place on 2 November 2023, at 8pm.

Since the programme began five months ago, he has invested in developing a cancer diagnostic tool, a tracking system for small children that alerts parents if there is a potential problem, and a visa assistance business. He has further provided sponsorship support to a 12-year-old Zimbabwean tennis prodigy, and the MotiMoves South Africa Women’s Hockey Team, as both geared up to participate in major national and international level championships.

His fifth webinar, which went live earlier in October, introduced the MotiMoves fanbase to a singing sensation who, for well over a decade, has worked as the Moti family butler.

“I always wanted to go further and do more in my life. As a child, my father would come home from work and ask me to play a record for him. When I was a bit older, music became a means by which my friends and I could escape the influences of the rough streets of Hillbrow,” says Dube.

“I wasn’t sure how I would reach my goal of becoming a professional singer, but I knew the right opportunity would someday present itself. I never expected Mr Moti to invest in my dream, and was stunned when he accepted my proposal shortly before his next webinar went live.”

The truth, Moti reveals, is that the thought had crossed his mind before. “I always advocate for looking toward your own house for investment ideas. Chances are, you already know someone with a talent or a business concept who only needs your help to get it off the ground.

“When I started MotiMoves, I was excited to find undiscovered talent and invest in groundbreaking ideas and, in the process, momentarily forgot this golden rule. In searching of my next MotiMoves investment, I looked at Sam’s proposal, recalled his beautiful voice, and it simply clicked that he should be the winner.”

Every monthly MotiMoves investment winner receives R50,000 to use toward their business, which generally involves conducting an in-depth feasibility study, as well as one month’s exclusive use of the MotiMoves Porsche 911, a one-on-one mentorship session with Moti, and an opportunity to attain further investment.

Also, during the webinar, Moti took several calls from MotiMoves members who wanted to pitch business ideas to him. He provided expert guidance and recommendations on how to turn these ideas into proper business concepts.

The second big draw for registered members, beyond receiving insights into creating multi-million-rand businesses, is the monthly lavish giveaways Moti does. This month, after receiving over 30,000 views on his motivation video on social media, Mohamed Salay earned himself a sit-down, one-on-one dinner with Moti at the acclaimed Qunu Restaurant at the Saxon Hotel in Sandton, for which he’ll be flown in from KwaZulu-Natal.

Another lucky MotiMoves member, Stephan Marais was chosen from among the live viewers on Zunaid Moti’s website to take three of his friends to an adrenaline-fuelled day at the Red Star Raceway in Delmas.

Finally, Moti pledged to assist five members with their tuition fees to the value of R20,000 each, provided that they have scored top marks during their most recent school or study term and they can show that they face difficulties paying for their education.

With an eye on the next MotiMoves webinar on 2 November, Moti is still accepting new business proposals daily. All that’s required is a basic explanation of the business idea, why it could be successful, and potential costs and profits, to be submitted on Moti’s personal website: www.zunaid-moti.co.za. Who knows, the billionaire business maverick could be helping you to build your empire next!
