HUAWEI’s Latest Innovations: Inspiring Creativity and Fashion

HUAWEI is pleased to introduce South Africa to its recently unveiled laptop, earbuds and tablets.

Among the new devices launched are the refreshed HUAWEI MateBook D 16 laptops, HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2”, and the HUAWEI FreeClip — a pair of fashionable earbuds with an open ear design. These products are an extension of the HUAWEI “Fashion Forward” theme, where form, functionality, style and technology meet.

HUAWEI MateBook D 16

The perfect companion for all users, the new HUAWEI MateBook D 16 brings an immersive large-screen experience with its 16-inch Eye Comfort FullView Display. With the introduction of exceptionally thin bezels all the way around the screen, the HUAWEI MateBook D 16 delivers a truly expansive view and a high screen-to-body ratio of up to 90%, giving users a larger canvas to work with, multitasking office workers a larger workspace, and a reimagined device to support studies and recreational activities.

Notably, with its 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i5 High Performance Processor, the performance of the HUAWEI MateBook D 16 has received a huge boost. This is ideal for users who want to handle heavy multitasking tasks such as programming, illustrating and video editing seamlessly. Designed for maximum comfort and an optimised experience, the HUAWEI MateBook D 16 has a sleek and elegant design in a futuristic Mystic Silver. It weighs just 1.68kg with a chassis as thin as 17mm. To ensure a superior connectivity experience, the HUAWEI MateBook D 16 uses the HUAWEI Metaline Antenna, enabling ultra-long-distance connections of up to 270 metres.

HUAWEI FreeClip

The FreeClip are HUAWEI’s first open-ear earbuds, combining wireless audio and a chic design in a versatile device that is easy to wear while making a fashion statement. With the FreeClip, users can enjoy the comfort of open-ear listening, and thanks to their innovative C-bridge Design, they fit snugly along the curvature of the ear. The C-bridge Design of the FreeClip acts as the earbuds’ clip and connector between the acoustic and battery units. The design of the FreeClip has been based on the research of 10,000 people’s ears, resulting in a refined micron-level ergonomic design that has undergone over 25,000 reliability tests. The result not only improves functionality but also assures the user that the earbuds will stay in place regardless of the intensity of their physical activities

HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2”

The new HUAWEI MatePad Pro 13.2″ is a groundbreaking innovation in HUAWEI’s tablet lineup. With its flexible OLED screen, this MatePad has a jaw-dropping 94% screen-to-body ratio, positioning it as the industry’s tablet with the highest screen-to-body ratio. The screen also supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, and its incredibly lightweight and slim design sets a new standard in mobility. With a weight of only 580g and measuring just 5.5mm thick, it is one of the thinnest tablets available today.

HUAWEI MateBook D 16 i5 is available in South Africa from 15 January 2024. The i9 version and MatePad Pro 13.2’’ will be on shelf in February 2024 and the HUAWEI Freeclip will be available in March 2024.
