ASUS today announced the all-new ExpertBook Ultra, a premium
business laptop that offers AI-driven performance, a lightweight and portable design, as well as advanced security
and valued-added features that make it an ideal choice for professionals at home, in the office and on the move.
The local debut of the ExpertBook Ultra comes soon after the laptop’s successful debut at CES 2026, where it
received two ‘Best at CES 2026’ awards from Ubergizmo and PC Pro and was cited as one of the best laptops
showcased at the event.
“The launch of ExpertBook Ultra in South Africa marks an important step in expanding ASUS’ commercial offering
in the region. Businesses today need devices that can handle AI workloads, advanced productivity tools, and
demanding applications while remaining lightweight and dependable. The ExpertBook Ultra was created to meet
that need. It gives South African professionals access to a new class of business laptop that combines premium
performance, mobility, and durability in a way that has not been widely available in the local market,” says Werner
Joubert, Commercial BDM and Country Head ASUS South Africa and SADC.
Designed and engineered to meet the productivity and portability needs of today’s professionals, and offering
superior performance with dedicated AI capabilities, the ExpertBook Ultra enables users to work, communicate
and collaborate through next-generation technology and software solutions. Packing up to Intel® Core™ Ultra 7
Series 3 processors with Intel® AI Boost neural processing, the laptop features an all-metal chassis that weighs
from 0.99 kg, while still offering high levels of durability and cooling via Nano Ceramic and ExpertCool Pro thermal
technology.
The ExpertBook Ultra offers many of ASUS’s signature features, including ASUS MyExpert, the brand’s all-in-one AI
companion that helps users simplify their workflows, enhance their productivity and increase overall efficiency.
Additionally, the laptop offers enterprise-grade security features such as ASUS ExpertGuardian, which lets IT teams
monitor, manage and secure devices remotely with full BIOS and OS control. All of these features combine to
create a productivity tool designed for the modern professional.
Intelligence in motion: AI neural processing and ASUS ExpertCool Pro
AI capabilities sit at the heart of the ExpertBook Ultra, with the laptop powered by up to Intel® Core™ Ultra X9
Series 3 processors, built-in Intel® Arc™ graphics, and up to 64GB LPDDR5x memory. The laptop’s dedicated NPU
delivers 50 TOPS and up to 180 total-platform TOPS, enabling AI-driven productivity, collaboration and security.
Supporting these processing capabilities is ASUS ExpertCool Pro, the company’s advanced full-span cooling system
that uses triple air outlets to raise central air pressure by 12%. ExpertCool Pro actively cools the laptop’s SSD and
CPU while enabling 50W performance in turbo mode, even when the laptop lid is closed.
A vision of the future of work: Ultralight durable design and 3K tandem OLED display
Featuring an aviation-inspired, magnesium-aluminium design, the ExpertBook Ultra weighs from 0.99 kg and is
only 10.9 mm thick, offering a high degree of portability that enables users to take the laptop wherever they go
and work wherever they are. At the same time, 9H durability and comfort is guaranteed thanks to Nano Ceramic
Technology, which provides long-lasting protection against stains and scratches, and Excimer UV coating on the
keyboard for durable smudge resistance.
The ExpertBook debuts a 14-inch 3K tandem OLED anti-glare touchscreen display with up to 1,400 nits of HDR
brightness and a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The display’s dual-layer structure delivers higher brightness
and lower power consumption levels than standard OLED displays, resulting in enhanced image quality and
efficiency. Furthermore, thanks to Gorilla® Glass which achieves superior drop and scratch resistance, the display
further validates the ExpertBook Ultra’s status as a highly durable business solution.
Security and sustainability refined: ASUS ExpertGuardian and green manufacturing
Next-generation productivity requires next-generation security, which is why the ExpertBook Ultra comes
complete with ASUS ExpertGuardian, the company’s comprehensive IT security and business solution.
Built on the principles of stringent NIST SP 800-193 guidelines and complemented by advanced Windows-level
protection, ASUS ExpertGuardian prevents unauthorised changes, detects attacks and automatically restores
trusted versions of firmware, enabling users to make full use of the laptop’s capabilities in comfort and confidence.
Additional security features include fingerprint login, TPM 2.0 chip for secure authentication information storage
and Microsoft Pluton, which helps protect sensitive data and credentials.
The ExpertBook Ultra also exemplifies ASUS’s commitment to sustainability and is the result of product design that
prioritises longevity and easy repair. Adhering to a circular economy model, ASUS works to ensure all device
materials used stay in circulation, thus reducing waste and decreasing the company’s overall environmental
footprint.
