In a defining moment for South African innovation, Soweto-based technology company Khoi Tech has made international waves after participating in London Tech Week 2025, one of the world’s premier gatherings of technology leaders and investors.
A special group of mover and shakers in the tech space were chosen to represent South African, with Founder and CEO Seati Moloi representing Khoi Tech and joined fellow by South African innovators Nivashneee Ramparsad of IoT-focused Smartee and Noleen Ilunga-Muleya, Managing Director of AI integrators and Platform Solutions company XDOY, to showcase the depth and potential of African tech talent on a global stage. The South African delegation’s participation was made possible through a collaboration between the British High Commission and South Africa’s Department of Telecommunications and Digital Technologies under its Digitech Programme, a national initiative designed to fast-track local tech firms onto international platforms.
Craig Meyer, Director-General of the Department, hailed the milestone:
“This is what the Digitech programme is all about—creating global opportunities for South African innovators. Khoi Tech, Smartee and XDOY proved that our country has what it takes to compete at the highest level.”

Its flagship products—the Khoi Afriwatch smartwatch and Khoi Afripods True Wireless Earphones—combine smart hardware with a device-powered SaaS health platform, currently being piloted at leading South African hospitals, clinics, and universities.
The platform delivers real-time health monitoring and predictive analytics, aimed at improving health outcomes, enabling early medical interventions, and easing pressure on overstretched public health systems.
