This year’s theme, “ROYALTY – Kings & Queens of Mzansi,” pays tribute to the cultural influencers, storytellers, trendsetters, and online innovators who are shaping the nation’s digital landscape. SASMA 2025 will crown South Africa’s finest content creators — the individuals who continue to redefine influence, build communities, and bridge the gap between creativity and commerce.

SASMA Director Weza Matomane shares a powerful message on the role of the awards in shaping South Africa’s future:
