In a parallel stride of innovation, Warner Music Africa Francophone recently hosted its first-ever Music Camp in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, earlier this year. The camp gathered more than 20 artists, producers, and songwriters from across Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa for a week of collaborative immersion, cultural exchange, and groundbreaking creativity.
The result is a powerful EP series titled Welcome To Babi, the first chapter of which introduces an all-star line-up featuring Hyce, Jeriq, Ste Milano, Paulo Chakal, Kold AF, Mr Behi, and Tamsir. The project dissolves borders, blending genres and languages to create a fresh sound that captures the essence of today’s Francophone scene.
The focus track, “C’est Gâté”, born directly from the energy of the Babi Camp, unites Ste Milano, Tamsir, Mr Behi, Babydaiz, and Black K in a festive, genre-bending anthem. With its vibrant beats and electrifying flows, the track encapsulates the future of Francophone urban music and is poised to become an international dancefloor staple.
