Bathu and Flowers for Society Step Into Braamfontein with pop up stores.

Bathu  and Flowers for Society officially unveiled their vibrant pop-up stores in Braamfontein on Thursday, 9 October 2025, marking a major milestone for both brands. The opening celebrates Bathu’s 30th store and Flowers for Society’s very first store in South Africa.

The launch comes a year after Bathu Group announced its acquisition of Flowers for Society, a bold move that expanded its footprint in the global sneaker and lifestyle market. The Braamfontein pop-up represents both a symbolic and strategic moment for the Group, connecting South African creativity, entrepreneurship, and culture in one space.

Bathu Founder and CEO, Theo Baloyi, reflected on the significance of returning to Braamfontein. “Braamfontein has played such a meaningful role in my entrepreneurial journey. It’s where so much of Bathu’s story began. Bringing both Bathu and Flowers for Society here felt right; it’s a full-circle moment that honours our roots while celebrating how far we’ve come.”

The dual pop-up celebrates two important milestones: the continued growth of Bathu, now with 30 stores across South Africa, and the arrival of Flowers for Society on African soil for the first time.

Visitors to the space are greeted by a striking art mural created by renowned multidisciplinary South African artist, Fhatuwani Mukheli. The artwork stands as a bold expression of creativity, collaboration, and community — embodying the shared values of both Bathu and Flowers for Society.

As Bathu Group celebrates these milestones, the Braamfontein pop-up stands as a testament to vision, passion, and African excellence.
