After a successful kick off of the Vilaca Racing Time Attack Championship in March, round two will see the Vilaca Racing community head to Zwartkops Raceway, this Saturday, 31 May in pursuit of the perfect lap of this dynamic 2,4km circuit.

Jono Vilaca, founder of Vilaca Racing says: “The Time Attack Championship series has created a community of motorsport fans and car enthusiasts of all ages who come out to enjoy a fun and exciting experience with cars. After an awesome first round in March, our sixth season of Vilaca Racing is set to be the best ever, and we are looking forward to another exciting gathering at Zwartkops in May, and growing the community.”
With a further four rounds scheduled later in the year, the 2025 series is the perfect opportunity to witness incredible cars and talented drivers competing for the podium in different categories.
Taking place across some of the country’s most iconic race circuits, the other events lined up in the Vilaca Racing Time Attack Championship are:
- Round three – 5 July 2025 at Formula-K Raceway in Benoni
- Round four – forms the highlight entertainment during the South African Festival of Motoring from 29 – 31 August at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit.
- Round five – 18 October at Zwartkops Raceway in Centurion
- Round six – 15 November at Formula-K Raceway in Benoni
This format of racing is a race against the clock for drivers, pushing their cars to the limit to achieve the fastest lap time. While highly competitive, this allows for high-octane action in a safe, controlled environment.
Not only is there fierce competition on the track, the event has a vibrant spectator atmosphere and the opportunity to experience South Africa’s growing motor racing culture.
