Telviva strengthens KwaZulu-Natal presence with strategic AnD rebrand

Well-known communications business Analog and Digital (Pty) Ltd (AnD), which started out as a PBX reseller and which built a loyal customer base primarily in KwaZulu-Natal, has announced that it has changed its name to Telviva. The rebrand follows Telviva’s successful acquisition of the business, which started in 2018, and reflects the business’s evolution from a PBX provider to a fully fledged telco, offering voice services, cloud communication solutions, contact centre technologies and more.

Telviva, a leading cloud communications, unified communications as a service (UCaaS) and contact centre as a service (CCaaS) provider, says the time was right for the rebrand and that it is an important milestone in Telviva’s expansion strategy. AnD customers retain access to an agile, responsive business, while also enjoying the full suite of Telviva products and support. Telviva, on the other hand, gains a foothold in the strategically important KwaZulu-Natal market.

“The rebrand cements our transition from a reseller to a licensed telco in KwaZulu-Natal,” says Kelvin Brown, who had established the AnD business and facilitated the integration with Telviva. “The relationship between Telviva and AnD started in 2018 and was built on strong synergy and shared values. This is a logical next step,” he says.

Brown has since been promoted to Executive for Customer Operations at Telviva and retains direct responsibility for the KwaZulu-Natal operations, with Ryan Proksch being appointed earlier this year as the Regional Executive based in Durban.

Proksch says that because AnD evolved in terms of its offering, it became apparent that its name needed to reflect the change. “The business doesn’t just offer voice anymore. We’ve evolved naturally into text-based solutions, WhatsApp integration, CRM plugins, and more,” he says.

Telviva CEO David Meintjes agrees: “The successful integration of AnD into Telviva has been powered by a strong cultural alignment and shared values. The rebrand not only strengthens our presence in KwaZulu-Natal but also enhances our capacity to deliver innovative communication solutions nationwide.”

Proksch explains that with the rebrand, and full Telviva support, the business is poised to provide much-needed support to the sizable business process outsourcing (BPO) and contact centre market in the province.

“KwaZulu-Natal, particularly Durban, is an important hub for contact centres. Our enhanced product suite that enables us to offer true omnichannel solutions as opposed to just voice or text, positions us perfectly to serve this growing, dynamic market, armed not only with Telviva’s world-leading technology, but also our strong understanding of the KwaZulu-Natal environment,” says Proksch.

Meintjes says the move is the next step in a bigger growth journey for Telviva. “Telviva has grown nationally and beyond, with customers in North America and the UK. This is not just about a name change. Rather, it is a moment of strategic importance for Telviva’s growth generally, and enhanced service offerings for the KwaZulu-Natal market specifically.”
