Nedbank Pitch & Polish has officially opened entries for its 16th season, continuing its long-standing role in supporting and developing South African entrepreneurs.
Over the past 15 seasons, the programme has helped business owners refine their strategies, strengthen operations and build more resilient, growth-ready businesses through a combination of competition, mentorship and practical learning. Delivered in partnership with business incubator Raizcorp, the programme equips participants with critical entrepreneurial skills while offering a platform to showcase their businesses.
“Nedbank Pitch & Polish is about more than funding. It’s about equipping entrepreneurs with the tools, networks and confidence they need to grow sustainable businesses,” says Monique Chinnah, Senior Manager: Beyond Banking at Nedbank.
The competition unfolds across multiple elimination rounds and is presented as a 16-episode online series, creating a learning platform for both participants and viewers. The previous season attracted over 10.5 million viewers, reflecting strong national interest in entrepreneurship.
The 2026 winner will receive a R1 million prize package, including R650 000 in cash and a R350 000 bursary for a two-year incubation programme with Raizcorp. Second and third place winners will receive R100 000 and R50 000 respectively.
As South Africa’s SMME sector continues to play a critical role in job creation, programmes that combine funding with structured business development are increasingly important. “The programme creates a structured learning environment where entrepreneurs refine their thinking and build businesses that can grow beyond founder dependence,” says Raizcorp CEO Allon Raiz.
