Bolt for Business closed 2025 with strong momentum in South Africa, driven by growing demand for corporate mobility solutions and strategic partnerships that improve access and flexibility for businesses and their employees.
The platform continued to scale across South Africa’s major economic hubs, supporting thousands of business trips each month. Businesses relied heavily on Bolt for Business for weekday travel, with Friday emerging as the busiest day, and peak usage aligning with commuter hours between 6AM and 9AM, and 3PM to 5PM. The highest number of Bolt for Business rides were recorded in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban, reflecting sustained demand in the country’s leading commercial centres.
A key highlight of 2025 was Bolt Business’s partnership with Stellr, a leading global provider of prepaid content and services operating across dynamic growth markets, including South Africa. Through this collaboration, Bolt for Business coupons were added to Stellr’s prepaid and digital distribution network, enabling businesses and consumers to access corporate rides seamlessly via the Bolt Rider app. The coupons are now live across major South African platforms, including Nedbank, AVO, Discovery Bank, Standard Bank (via in-app and internet banking), and Pick n Pay through purchase-on-receipt (POR). This integration embeds Bolt for Business into everyday financial, retail, and digital ecosystems, significantly expanding access to managed, reliable mobility.
Usage insights further highlight the scale of Bolt’s professional driver network supporting Bolt for Business. Over the past 12 months, one driver partner completed 22,052 rides, demonstrating the reliability and capacity of the platform to support high-volume business travel.
Milu Kipimo, Senior Country Manager for Bolt for Business South Africa, said: “Our partnership with Stellr is a meaningful step forward in how businesses access and manage mobility in South Africa. By integrating Bolt for Business coupons into Stellr’s extensive prepaid and digital distribution network, we are removing friction for companies and employees who need simple, reliable travel solutions. This collaboration expands choice and flexibility while reinforcing Bolt for Business as a key enabler of modern, efficient corporate travel.”
Kipimo added: “2025 was an important year for Bolt for Business in South Africa. By strengthening our presence in key commercial centres and expanding access through strategic partnerships like Stellr, we continue to move closer to our goal of making business travel smarter, simpler, and more connected. We are excited to build on this momentum in 2026 and beyond.”
