FIELDS, the locally-made, contemporary menswear brand known for considered craftsmanship and quietly confident style, has opened its first Johannesburg location at 44 Stanley. “Johannesburg is the heartbeat of South Africa,” says founder and creative director Mikael

The new boutique finds a natural home at 44 Stanley, a precinct celebrated for its independent spirit and layered history. “44 Stanley shows us a South Africa we are proud of,” Hanan adds. “It’s a place built on curation, connection, and authenticity. It brings together people of every age and background in a way that reflects how we want to live today.”
A collaborative design process with interior designer Lei Lester to invite conversation and slow exploration, the Johannesburg store reflects FIELDS’ ethos of mindful living and timeless design. “Here is where many considered and conscious South Africans spend a moment in their week, allowing time to connect, engage and share stories,” Hanan says. “That’s exactly the environment we want to be part of.”
The 44 Stanley boutique offers the brand’s full ready-to-wear collection, accessories, and seasonal drops, alongside limited pieces created in collaboration with South African artists and artisans.
